Trial and Error Learning

The real learning is done by trial and error. Structured university courses are a low agency way to learn giving you bad habits and expectations. To learn original you need to spend enough time being terrible until to you are driven crazy enough that your brain just cant help but figure out how to do it better. This is real learning, learning mass produced in the class room isn’t real and won’t help you in real life.

Just keep singing until you figure out what’s wrong with your voice.

Bodybuilding

The muscles of the larynx need to be developed, the same way bodybuilders develope muscles. The most difficult part of bodybuilding is actually developing the nervous system. Developing Neuromusculature is even more important for us as speaking and sings is about fine motor control. The only to develop this neuromusculature is obsessive practice. Daily practice until you start hurting you voice.

Imitation Reflex

Most people have a strong imitation reflex. When they see someone performing an action the same circuits in their brain activate as that activate when performing the action themselves.

On the other hand, people marvel how we can perform advanced mathematics. I can assure you that a functioning imitation reflex and the ability to perform advanced mathematics are mutually exclusive. Thus we will have to coax our imitation reflex for back into activation.

Defend Existing Assets

I tend to be too greedy when it comes to acquiring new assets that I fail to defend my existing assets. High testosterone risk taking. In the context of speech school it means protecting your voice. The vocal cords can be come scarred and when this happens the voice is ruined. You have lots of practice ahead of you so stop when your larynx muscles become tired and you can’t phonate cleanly. You don’t want to miss out on all that future practice. Defend the you existing asset you have, a healthy voice.
